[Target](https://www.linkedin.com/company/target?ref=giovanni-gallucci.ghost.io) just finished the biggest grocery reset in more than a decade and said the extra room is for wellness, newness, and emerging brands. That sentence almost never comes out of a national chain. Then they moved the fixtures.

[Cara Sylvester](https://www.linkedin.com/in/cara-sylvester1?ref=giovanni-gallucci.ghost.io), Target's chief merchandising officer, said it on the August 19 earnings call. Nearly half of center-store grocery changed presentation. Endcaps and in-aisle. Food and beverage in the quarter ending August 1 came in at $6 billion, up from $5.6 billion a year earlier. Snack sales are running 15 percent ahead of last year. Protein bars, meat sticks, and better-for-you options are the ones she named. Founders in meat snacks told [Modern Retail](https://www.modernretail.co/operations/big-box-briefing-target-sees-sales-boom-in-reinvented-snack-category/?ref=giovanni-gallucci.ghost.io) the chain doubled that aisle's space.

[New Primal](https://www.linkedin.com/company/new-primal?ref=giovanni-gallucci.ghost.io) is already inside the shift. [Jason Burke](https://www.linkedin.com/in/burkejason?ref=giovanni-gallucci.ghost.io) spent a decade getting told no. Last June, 500 stores. This June, nationwide, with rotisserie and buffalo chicken sticks and a Snack Mates refresh. That is what a hungry buyer looks like from the supplier side. It will not stay hungry. The minute those facings prove velocity, the incumbents Target just made room for will launch line extensions straight into them.

If you run organic social for a small food brand, this is not a "we're in Target" flex week unless you actually are. It's a receipts week. Buyers don't need another origin story. They need a number they can check, the SKU you replace, and an honest door count you can supply without breaking.

This is positive news. Take the window. Don't perform it. Walk in with proof, then put the same proof on the grid so a shopper can see why the facing exists.

This article is the extension. The show is the briefing. The post is what you do with it.

## What you post this week

You're not announcing a national reset you don't own. You're posting the one number a Target buyer could verify.

Same caption on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Stories first, then the feed.

Copy you can paste:

Target just said out loud that emerging brands get the room. Here's the only number I have that belongs in that conversation.

\[SKU\] did \[velocity number\] in \[channel a buyer can check\] over \[weeks\]. The facing we replace is \[competitor type / slot\], not a mood. We can supply \[honest door count\] without missing a week. If you shop Target, this is the stick. If you buy Target, this is the sheet.

What you do not post:

We're coming for the snack aisle.

Big chains are finally waking up.

Manifesting a reset.

Don't post a photoshopped endcap. Don't imply you're in the reset if you're not. Don't dunk on the national brands that just lost space. That's how you get remembered as noise in a buyer's Slack.

If you don't have velocity yet, post the hold: units, weeks, which doors, and the date you'll have a number. A hole is better than a fake.

## The still

Don't use a lifestyle hero with a model in a red cart. That's a campaign image. This is a sell sheet that happens to be a photo.

Shoot it on a phone. Packing table or a real shelf you actually have, even if it's not Target. Window light.

Frame the SKU, a simple printed velocity sheet with no logo lockup if you can help it, yellow mug or tape in the corner. No fake text on the photo. If the sheet has numbers, that's fine. That's a document, not a meme.

If you only have one still, that's the still.

## The video (one take, 20 to 30 seconds)

You. Founder or the person who talks to the buyer. Handheld. No licensed track.

Shot list:

1. Hands, SKU to camera (3 seconds)
2. The sheet. Finger on the velocity line (4 seconds)
3. The actual case count you can ship, on the floor (4 seconds)
4. On camera, the line below (8 to 12 seconds)
5. End card: the door count you can really fill.

Say it like this:

Target opened space. It will close when the big brands notice. This is \[SKU\]. This is the number. This is how many doors I can fill without lying. If you buy, that's the meeting. If you shop, this is the stick.

Don't say "we're so excited to partner." Don't say "dreams come true." Show the sheet.

Captions on. Burn in three cards: the SKU, the number, the door count.

Post it native. Same caption as the still.

## The comments (this is the actual job)

Pin the number. For 72 hours, a human replies.

Public reply to "are you in Target":

\[Yes, doors / Not yet. Here's the sheet anyway.\] DM if you're a buyer. Shoppers, the SKU name is in the pin.

Public reply to "I can't find it":

Which store. I'll tell you if we actually have that door or if someone is guessing.

Stop at one reply. Don't fake a store list.

## LinkedIn, for the buyer who will not watch a Reel

Target said emerging brands. We brought \[velocity\] from \[channel\], the slot we'd replace, and a supply number we can hit. Happy to send the sheet. Not sending a pitch deck.

If you're reading this on someone else's reset, don't dunk. Post your own number. That's the advantage play, and it's only honest if the channel is real.

## If this is sitting on your calendar

Write the three-line sheet this week: velocity, replace-this, doors-we-can-fill. Post it. Then send it. The window is the reset, not your content calendar.

If putting a real velocity number on camera and sending it without turning it into a brand film is the part that's hard, that's the work I do. I'm giovanni gallucci. The useful part is I embed with your team and ship the posts. I don't do paid ads or email.
